Quick Tip about using ceiling fans in winter

Quick Tips: Using Ceiling Fans During Wintertime:

If you have a ceiling fan, don’t forget to use it during the winter months as well. In summer, set the fan to blow air downward, which makes the room feel cooler.

But in winter, set it to blow upward. This recirculates the warm air that rises to the ceiling, increasing the distribution of heat throughout the entire room.

What others are saying about Frost Construction: Gossen Livingston Associates, Inc.

This is an open letter of recommendation for Frost Construction Company of Humble, Texas.

I know Frost Construction from our work together on the City of Deer Park Fire Station No. 3. We enjoyed an unusually high level of communication and candor with their representatives, and this resulted in a project of very high quality. Their management of the trades was characterized by experience and attention to detail. Technical problems were usually identified very early and were solved in a spirit of cooperation and mutual commitment to the best possible building. In short, their standards are very high. The job site was very clean and neat, and I am aware of no injuries during the project.

Frost’s approach to the owner and to us was always very diplomatic, with an emphasis on foresight and clarity. Coordination with the Owner’s operations and with those of separate contractors was as smooth as possible. They were prompt o respond to the Owner’s requests for a change, and generally responded with reasonable prices, requiring less time in negotiation.

On a personal note, it has been a privilege for me to work with the people whom Frost assigned to the job. I wish them well and would recommend their work to anyone who wants the best quality of construction possible.

Sincerely,
Glenn Knowles, RA
